Is your UBC working, learning or living environment welcoming to LGBTTQIA+ students, staff and faculty? Would you like to learn more how to improve and positively impact the climate for sexual and gender diversity?
The Positive Space foundational workshop covers current language, issues, resources, and best practices in an interactive and experiential learning environment. Participants will gain relevant knowledge and skills to use in their academic, work and campus life.
Sign up for a workshop with the form below.
Once participants have successfully completed the foundational workshop they will have the option to volunteer as Resource Persons. Students, staff and faculty who are interested in attending the workshop are welcome. A Positive Space sticker will be provided to all participants to display in their work, learning or living space. The sticker indicates they have a working knowledge of sexual orientation and gender identity issues in the campus environment.
Pre-registration using the form below is required. All workshops are held on the Point Grey campus in Vancouver unless otherwise noted.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible if you cannot attend the workshop. Light refreshments are included with the workshop. Please let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend so we can avoid wasting food and adjust the catering order. Early cancellation also enables us to offer the space to people on the waiting list.
