The Positive Space Campaign is a UBC Vancouver campus-wide initiative to increase the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, transgender, transsexual, gender variant, two-spirit and intersex (LGBQTTI) communities, individuals and issues on campus. It aims to foster a welcoming atmosphere and inclusive, respectful dialogue on campus for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities by identifying spaces where sexual and gender diversity is supported and valued.
Sign up for a workshop! All UBC students, staff and faculty are welcome to participate. The workshops are 3.5 hours in length, informative, interactive and a lot of fun. They attract a diverse mix of people from across the campus, including those with a lot of experience and those to whom these issues are relatively new. There’s something for everyone here.
Please see Get Involved for more information on what it means to be a resource person. Workshop pre-registration is required and workshops will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. All workshops are held on the Point Grey campus in Vancouver unless otherwise noted.
